During this time of high frequency cyberactivity, we have invested in technology to protect you. We have the ability to send encrypted emails and attachments to you. We have the ability to receive them from you too. This ensures that private and highly sensitive correspondence and materials stay that way.
Even if you aren’t using encryption, remember to be particularly cautious of all coronavirus scams and phishing emails. Be careful to thoroughly look at all sender email addresses. If you don’t recognize it, don’t open it. Criminals and scammers are depending on you not to notice a discrepancy in their otherwise unsuspecting email.
- DON’T ever give out your personal information or sensitive usernames or passwords in reply to an email or phone caller that you do not recognize.
- DON’T click a link or open an attachment that you are not absolutely certain is credible.
- DON’T rush. Consider navigating directly to a trusted website or independently research the sender on the internet.
- When in doubt, DELETE.
If you want to send us an encrypted email or attachment, send us an email saying so. We will reply with a link that will let you use our encryption service. (It will only allow you to send encrypted emails and attachments to us. Other firms will have to make their own investments in your security.)
In the meantime, we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during this very difficult time. You are in our hearts and minds as we all continue to adjust to new changes in our daily lives caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
